About the Procedure
During the procedure, Dr. Abramson will perform Liposuction to remove fat from a donor area on the body such as the buttocks, abdomen, or inner thighs. Next, the fat is immediately purified and injected into the intended areas using a micro-cannula. This can easily be done using a local aesthetic although many patients elect to receive some form of anesthesia. Once the fat cells integrate they can grow naturally with the body just like the surrounding cells.
Dr. Abramson injects the fat similarly to how he uses facial fillers such as Radiesse, Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero and others. Instead of a synthetic filler he is using the patient’s own fat.
Aftercare and Recovery
Immediately following the procedure the area will be numb from the local anesthetic. It will also be quite swollen for the first few days. It is very important to keep pressure off of the face as much as possible for the first 2 weeks. The swelling will start to decrease after 1-2 weeks and the area will begin to get smaller.
